IELLEN-supported partnerships

Among the many partnerships, networks, services and groups that the IELLEN actively supports are the following:

Education Engagement Partnership (EEP)

The Education Engagement Partnership (EEP) co-ordinates the efforts of 22 partnering agencies to support young people 10 -19 who have disengaged or are at risk of disengaging from learning or work, across Stonnington and Port Phillip.

Through data collection and analysis, EEP supports agencies to use this information to make evidence based responses to identified local needs. EEP also supports best practice knowledge and professional development through ongoing support of an "Action Team" who work directly with young people.

The IELLEN has an ongoing membership of the EEP, where we are represented on both the Steering Committee and Data Analysis Working Group. The EEP adds real value to education and youth services across the Cities of Stonnington and Port Phillip, and it continues to play a key role across the two municipalities.

School Focused Youth Services (SFYS)

Through School Focused Youth Service (SFYS), schools and community organisations work together to support young people aged 10-18 years who are attending school, but are vulnerable to or showing signs of disengagement from school, to remain connected to education.

Like the LLENs, SFYS is funded by the Victorian Government via the Department of Education.

The IELLEN supports the two School Focused Youth Services in our catchment area, for example through steering committee and/or Local Working Group representation. They are SFYS - Cities of Stonnington, Port Phillip and Glen Eira, and SFYS - Boroondara/ Manningham School Focused Youth Service.

Learn Local organisations

The IELLEN has had a long association with Prahran Community Learning Centre, one of the Learn Locals in our area. For example, staff are represented on the PCLC Committee of Management. In addition the IELLEN is a partner in the 2015/16 ACFE funded "Back to Front" project, also comprising TaskForce, PCLC, and Phoenix Park Neighbourhood House.
